Access Audit

What is an Access Audit?

Our unique access audit is a visual inspection and assessment of the facilities available to your visually impaired employees, customers and visitors. Once we have completed a visual inspection, we will deliver a full written report of our recommendations so that your organisation can implement the necessary changes to make your facilities more inclusive.

This service is available to private, public and voluntary organisations. Under the Equality Act 2010 it is stated that reasonable adjustments should be made for anyone with a disability.

We provide expert advice to make your building more inclusive and accessible to your blind & partially sighted customers.

Our assessment covers:

  • Lighting
  • Potential hazards for visually impaired people
  • Colour contrasts
  • Fire escape routes
  • Design layout
  • Documentation
  • Equipment and furniture
  • Signage

What you can gain?

  • A more inclusive building/facility for visually impaired people
  • Compliance with the law
  • Recognition you are a proactive company that is inclusive to the visually impaired community
  • Recognition that your company provides good practice
  • Knowledge and understanding of how to make reasonable adjustments for blind and partially sighted people
  • Potential increase of customers from visually impaired people and their peers.

Why choose Visualise?

All of our Access Audits are completed with two of our staff. One of these staff will be visually impaired themselves so they can assess your facility with their first hand experience. All of our staff offer a professional service and are experts in the accessibility field.
