Online Deaf Awareness Training
When an individual is deaf or has hearing loss, it changes their communication needs and their ability to distinguish certain sounds. It never makes them less of a person or unable to perform highly-skilled tasks within the workplace. Our Online Deaf Awareness Training e-learning package is designed to entertain, inform and educate.
Even a mild to moderate hearing impairment can have a significant effect on a person’s life.
At the time of writing, The Royal National Institute for the Deaf (RNID) reported that as of 2022, there are 12 million people with hearing loss in the UK. This figure is set to rise to 14.2 million by 2035. Partial hearing loss in adults and children is on the increase. What can your business do to assist the hearing impaired?
To Be Informed Is to Be Confident

Expertly Designed Deaf Awareness Training
This course has been created by award-winning deaf writer and blogger Philip Hilton, who has both lived and professional experience of deafness.
Diagnosed as deaf in 2017, Phil, who was already an established freelance writer, began writing for the hard-of-hearing community as well as becoming a voice for deafness in the larger hearing world.
Having an official diagnosis is one thing; however, Phil was told that his hearing loss had likely started at least 10 to 15 years before.
Winner of Hearing Like Me’s Writer of the Year 2021, a Brand Ambassador for Phonak, a past volunteer for the charity Hearing Link and a counsellor with the charity, Counselling.
